​We believe every child deserves joy, hope, and a moment of magic during the holiday season.

 

That’s why we are proud to participate as an official community partner for the Toys for Tots Program, working alongside the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and local Toys for Tots coordinators to bring brand-new toys to children in need within our community.

Each year, we help collect, organize, and distribute toys to families facing financial hardship. With the support of donors, volunteers, and community partners, we ensure children experience the joy of receiving a gift during the holidays — a small moment of happiness that can make a lasting impact.

🎁 How Families Can Request Toys

Families needing assistance can participate in our Toys for Tots distribution event. Registration is required so we can plan accurately and ensure every child receives a gift.

Eligibility requirements:

• Must reside in the designated service area

  • (DeSoto / Dallas County region)

• Must register each child individually

• Children must be 17 or younger

• Must provide proof of guardianship if requested by national Toys for Tots guidelines

• Families may only register with one Toys for Tots partner agency

📦 How to Donate Toys

Community members can support local families by donating new, unwrapped toys at our designated drop-off locations.

Popular donation categories include:

• Arts & crafts

• STEM toys

• Books

• Sports equipment

• Dolls & action figures

• Puzzles and board games

• Toys for ages 10–17 (the most requested group)

 

Gift cards, cash, and used toys cannot be accepted per Toys for Tots national rules.

🤝 Volunteer Opportunities

YPIC welcomes volunteers to help with toy collection, sorting, event setup, distribution day support, and family assistance.  
Volunteers help us make the holiday season brighter for hundreds of children.
